Father / Son Adventure Camp

The FCF Frontier Adventure & Spring Trace is an annual FCF event conducted in the spring of each year at the district Royal Rangers campground. Frontier Adventure is the event whereby prospective members may be inducted into the FCF.

May 15-17, 2025 at Camp Millhouser

Our FCF Frontier Adventure & Spring Trace will take place at Camp Millhouser, beginning on Friday evening.  All new member candidates who are participating in the Frontier Adventure are asked to be on site, set up, and ready to participate by 6:30 pm on Friday.  All others are asked to be ready in time for the evening service at 7:30 pm.

Registration & Fees

All attendees must register with the Company Clerk upon arrival at the camp.  All adults must provide an individual registration form while boys may all be listed together on one form.  All attendees must also provide a completed medical form for use in case of a medical emergency.

  • Frontier Adventure - for all new member candidates, submit a Frontiersman Application to the Company Clerk no later than May 1st (or let him know you're coming & bring it with you).  A $30.00 fee is required.  See application for contact info.  Candidates also need to read the Frontiersman Workbook prior to the adventure.

  • Spring Trace - for all other members, old timers (adults) must provide an individual Registration Form for Leaders or a Registration form for Staff-RRA with a $25.00 fee.  All young bucks (boys) may be listed on a single Registration List for Boys with a $10.00 fee per boy.  These fees help to cover the ongoing cost of maintaining our campground.

Housing

Each new member candidate should be accompanied by a sponsor who will be responsible for providing their housing & meals during this event.  Frontier-style shelters are encouraged although modern tents may be used and set up in a separate designed area.  All other attendees are responsible for their own housing and meals.
